Your favorite ridiculous handgun price!

With this ban, if times get tough enough in the coming years, the liberal party has almost assured that a certain subset of (formerly) legal guns will get sold to unlicensed people. I know if I was given the choice of buying food for my family, paying the mortgage, etc and holding onto a banned rifle or handgun I know which one I'm going with.

Or a lot of the queens deer will be getting poached.

Not sure if the comparison has been made in this thread before, but the number of people who clearly bought recently with the intent to flip for a profit reminds me of the Rolex grey market. Lot's of BNIB pistols out there. Even the base model Canik's are cracking $1000 asking prices. Stupid times.

I have a feeling there will be a few opportunists who have stocked up hope to make a quick buck who will in the end be stuck with a bunch of pistols they couldn't sell.

Is it really gouging though? What if the dealer’s are left with stock when it’s all said and done? The risk of selling a handgun has gone up and given a finite new supply, so has the demand. The shops selling at normal retail are being generous.

It's price gouging plain and simple.
Same as selling plywood sheets for $500 during a hurricane or small generators for 5k during a power outage, or $50 for a case of water.

I hope so.
Let's see what happens to pricing as free labour day when the clock really starts ticking

Not really a ridiculous price but I did see a pistol at SFRC go up $70 in price over night. Went from 9 in stock to 4 but the price jumped. Even dealers are gouging price.

Agreed. I am not impressed with Prophet River's pricing compared to other retailers. They def are price gouging and trying to justify it with recent posts.

I have seen this as well with many dealers, the crazy thing is everything is selling no matter what price the retailer gouges.

Tenda had about 10 different Desert Eagles come in a few weeks ago

Everything was sold out within 24 hours

Even the gold 50ae , that was 4080$ was snapped up

Someone made a comment that caused me to wonder.

Will this legislation cause legal guns to be sold to unlicensed buyers?
On the wrong side of the law.
No need for a transfer.

i.e to bad guys?

Think about what you just posted. If a gun is registered TO YOU and you sell it under the table. Sooner or later the day will come you will have to explain what happened to it. Unless you die first.

Back on topic. Maybe I can get two grand for my Norinco 9mm on the EE?

Lol!
