When I first got into things that shoot I fell in love with old school wood milsurps, then the shotgun. Picked up my first rimfire last week, never having fired one and damn! I am having a bloody riot with my cz452 for super cheap.

Now im pondering a nifty tacticool .22, I see 'em out there but what are some good options? is the 10/22 the be all end all?

The 10/22 offers the most flexability. Other opions like the SR22 are what they are and cannot be modified as extensively. What I really like about the 10/22 is that when I get tired of the "tactical" version, I can throw the old wood stock back on and it's back to basics.

Marauder 10-22 kit,Bushnell TRS-25, (2)side rails ,vert foregrip,QD sling swivel,

Looks more like a tac bolt rifle, shoots like a little 22lr repeater should. Best bang for the buck.

I've got two ... a Squires Bingham model 16, which I guess would have to be my pick for the current "tacticool" group

But then I also have my Enfield No8 Mk1 - which is my true favorite ... guess it would qualify as Retro-Tacticool :D

I have a Squires Bingham as well but the full stock version.

Original tacticool 22.

Still works like new, or did till I broke the firing pin after an estimated 20k + rnds.

Won't buy a newer tacticool because it'd be like getting a new puppy while your old dog is still around. :)

Old school Tactical, actually a Ruger 10/22 Compact, 16" bbl, Pro-ag 50 Rnd Drum, with a Scottwerks Kit and a Tru-Oil finish...which I have recently dulled down a bit.

This is my SR-22. Ruger 10/22 action and barrel with a factory installed stock around it to make it look similar to a AR style rifle. The scope, foregrip, and fore-end rails didnt come with it. I love this thing! I use it for chicken hunting and plinking. It did jam an awful lot at first, but after the "break-in" period it cycles without fail, every time.
