In a case the size of the 7mm-08 or 7x57, probably 140-150 grain bullets offer the best overall performance.
I have used the 140 Partition and Accubond with superb results in my 7x57. At around 2900, they kill with authority,
as long as placement is correct.
The 7mm Mag gets 160 grain bullets, unless they are lacking in the "group" department. My present 7 Mag will group the 160
Partition into ¾ moa with boring consistency at 3050 fps.
In the 7 SAUM, the 150 Scirocco II gets the nod....it is accurate and effective, and a very good bullet to stay together.
