Do you have a favourite handgun? Is it constant or does it change over time depending on your mood or what you feel like shooting at the time? Is how you feel based entirely on performance or does a gun's look or history enter into the equation? Maybe another way of judging is....of all your guns right now, which would be the last you would sell?

I find I am fickle and go through phases. It was an old 1950's K-38 for awhile, then a 1911, then a Sig P210 and most recently a Sig X5.

I suppose the answer might depend on whether you are a collector or a shooter. I don't know enough to be a collector so I consider myself more of an accumulator who shoots. ;)

Since 1988, my Gen 2 Glock 19. Almost 30 years, still going strong. Finish is a bit worn though!

I have a few no sells but my G19 is the one I use the most. I figure I might as well have a Glock I can abuse so the others may live pampered lives.

In the early 1980's I bought Colts finest handgun. I originally ordered it in Colt Royal Blue, but when I discovered Colt made them in nickel, that was the one for me. Nothing today holds a candle to Colt's Patent Firearms Corp PYTHON.

Interesting. I have a late 70's nickel Python. It's certainly a ###y looking gun but I prefer shooting my K38.

My favorite no sell pistol is the Smith & Wesson Model 41 5.5 Heavy Barrel.
I wish I bought it Twenty-five years ago, but it's only been just over Five years.

My tastes have evolved over time however there have definitely been some common themes. I love Colt’s SA and DA revolvers, S&W DA revolvers, 1911’s amongst other auto’s like Sig P210, S&W 52 and even the odd Glock. My favourite though is my Valtro 1911. There is no gun that is easier for me to shoot well and the reliability and shootability give me more confidence then any other gun I own. It is pictured with a few of its friends, fittingly at the top of the picture. The only other gun that gave me close to the same feeling is the SVI in this picture.

Good way to put it. I'd put myself in the same category. I can appreciate just about everything that is out there but I'm definitely drawn to certain categories over others. e.g, nice target guns, unique actions (generally from the turn of the century or the 70s and 80s), probably anything that is well engineered... Would really struggle to pick a favourite.

pistol I enjoyed shooting the most was the Browning 1911-22-A1. I sold it with plans to get the model with upgraded fiber sights, but got sidetracked. now i can't find anyone with it. :(

I shoot a Hi standard 22 and most shot center fire is my tuned 4 in M 19-2 Smith 38sp, hardly ever shoot 357m.
Also 1911 in 45,9mm, sigs sometimes and for sunday dress up, my HKP7m13

My favourite revolver: Uberti's copy of a Colt 1851 Richards Mason conversion in 38 special - love the look of the old open tops and when I need a confidence boost for my shooting skills, it's my go to gun. It will shoot 2 inch groups or less consistently at 25 Metres.
My favourite semi: CZ 75B. Love the ergonomics of the grip and it's also a great shooter.

My Swiss P210 is certainly a jewel. But for some reason, and despite Harry Callahan's coaching it is not my favourite shooter. I love my Smith 41 and a few others. I recently ordered a CZ Shadowmate. Still expecting it.

Same for me, except I got mine in '92. My 4" S&W 586 runs a very close second.
