CZ 85B Combat in 9MM...came with the Kadet 22LR topend...still have it and will never let it go.
It's looking it a bit worn, but it operates with Timex reliability....
I still recommend it as one of the best 'first' (hopefully of many!) guns.
I have owned a bunch in the interim, and have 'thinned' the herd to an
'acceptable' minimum...gives me the leeway to: try new stuff, revisit old
'flames', and trial some classic stuff....

I got my first gun at OSS I got a colt national match that had a Colt 22 Ace top end... Think I paid 650 and I quickly acquired at 45 top end for it...

although I agree with The Cocker, I sort of wish I'd gotten a Ruger Mk II or Buckmark .22 to learn more first, but seeing that HK in the case... I couldn't resist.
