Another vote for the triple deuce in a Rem 700 shooting Hornady 40 grain varmits.

Close indeed, I use the same cartridge with 46 gr Calhoon double HP or the 46 gr Winchester HP made for the Hornet.

Aside from any of my .22 LR rifles I really love popping gofers with my .45 LC... very expensive but you hit them with them Hornady 225 gr HPs... there is one heck of a splat factor!
