your hunting method

I jump on my Quad. Ride to my spot. (15km's on a bush trail) And if i see a deer on the way in ill Jump off and go in after it. If i get to my Stand. then ill stay there or Walk for most of the day.

I use #'s 2, 3, and 5, as well as pushing without dogs.

I voted for stalking, as that's my preference. Maybe not the most effective, but something I've come to love when the conditions are right.

Exactly... If you want to be truly successful you need to mix and match... I have bushes I still hunt in trees and blind and some dedicated to stalking.... if it gets really lame I stalk the bush areas around my still hunt areas to get them moving.... you can't pick just one....

depends what i'm hunting. small game usually stalk on the ground. hunt deer in a stand. and push the bush for moose

Hunting from a canoe adds a whole new dimension to the sport, if you're in a spot where you can do it.

Yes Superbrad, Sask. does have road rules. You can not shoot along or across a road, unless you are a CO. I don`t have a hunting guide at the moment to give exact wording but tis there. My favorite method of hunting used to be to take out my really out of shape buddy, after 10 minutes of walking he would start coughing and hacking that you needed a long range rifle to get a good shot.

We usually hunt the prairie zones, so we do a lot of spot and stalk hunting.

First is stand hunting, ground or tree stand. Second would be still hunting, our definition of slow stop and go stalking. The method used to get to a stand as well.

Hey guys, the question wasnt too hard, If your going to ##### an whine about it dont bother.
I dont read CGN for all the BS, i enjoy hearing from those who actually "hunt" on the far side of the world.
Its a poll, pick one that applys mostly to you an be done, its a forum site not the running for politician..

I put this poll up because there is alot of "hunters" which only ever load up thier Computors on a cold morning..... Or as stated before drive around with a Coffee in the 4x4... an then there is some who like to use a Spotlight an shoot the sheep(cattle) like creatures starring back at them..

It is what it is, im not having a go at anyone for whichever method you use, I just wanted to get an idea....

Hunting is exactly that, in my mind... We Hunt the Game in their own enviroment 1 on 1, ambush is ok(read productive) but FKN Boring....
Driving around with a coffee, is shooting definatley not hunting.

Anyway thanks for all your Replies, An to all the Guys who are out there Hunting the proper way, pat ya self on the back... The hunt is alot more satisfying than just the Head on the wall.....
