Your least favorite step in reloading?

Let's hear it and why.

Mine has to be cleaning and/or uniforming the primer pocket. Sometimes the stuff from the spent primer just gets in there and you can't get it all clean and shiney. Full length sizing comes close because you have to deal with that lube and then get it off, but I can tolerate it.

I hear alot of people don't like adding powder step, but I actually like that step.
 
i reload pistol and i have a progressive, so my vote goes to actually loading the brass into the machine. maybe one day ill get up the money to buy a case feeder for it.
 
For pistol loading is pretty easy with a D650 and a case feeder. My least favorit step would be cleaning the cases, or at least separating the media.

For bottle neck rifle it was trimming but I now have a Dillon 1200 power trimmer.

Agreed, case prep is the pain.

I also used to dislike setting up the scale and powder measure, especially if I was planning to do different loads or loads using different powders.

Got a Chargemaster, now I feel smug when developing loads; the same kind of smug you feel when you're sitting outside under the stars in a hot tub and its -20C outside.
 
I'm probably the only one but bullet seating for me as by the time I get to it my arms are starting to get tired. But I use a single stage press for reloading pistol ammo.
 
The range work-up. Detest bench shooting for group. Rather stab forks in my face. OK. Almost.

The rest of it is pretty relaxing.

I use a metal lathe to turn the tooling that needs to be rotated, like pocket cleaners, and case trimmers/champher tools. It goes fast.
