Your most accurate 22-250 load

Why all these super light loads out of a .22-250 ???

SMK 69/77 grain BTHP out of a .22-250 would be crazy accurate with high BC would be like a freaking laser beam in regards to trajectory. Velocity is around 4,000 fps in lighter loads 55gr. Probably around 3,600 in heavier loads like Match grade 77 gr.

For game...I guess you're using skiff like Barnes XTS polymer tip bullets that literally explode on impact, JSP and stream lined polymer tip hollow cavity projectiles.

Never owned a .22-250 but I love that round. I wish I had a Remington 700 VLS with Heavy target/match barrel in .22-250 sitting in a McMillan tactical stock or something. The ultimate small game and varmint caliber hands down is the .22-250 ......like a .223 Rem but an extra 1000 fps in velocity.

Pietro...
I think you're a bit optimistic(at least 10%) with your expected vel. The 4000fps range is attainable with the lightest bullets(40grn range) and about 3600 range with 55grn range. Pushing 75-80grns you're down to about 3100-3200. The 223 doesn't leave 1000fps on the table next to the 22-250 - closer to about 450fps.
I am a fan of the Varminter but the 223 is nothing to be sniffed at. It has equal accuracy and less recoil to enable spotting strikes. Another benefit is improved barrel life.
For a real hummer in the 22CF range get a 22BR.Very close to 22-250 speeds, better accuracy in spades and less recoil all with less powder and recoil.

Screwed up the last shot and hit what I was aiming at.
