Your most inaccurate handgun...

Makes me feel better that many of you also find the Tokarev to be inaccurate. I can't stay on the paper (8.5x11) past 7 yards. I'm not a very experienced handgun shooter - maybe a couple hundred rounds in my entire life. But I was hitting 50% on a pop can with my cousin's Glock from 10 yards. It really is tough keeping a perfect sight picture while pulling the trigger! I have tons of respect for people like Hickok45.

I have to say if you can't stay on paper at 7 yards with the TT33 is is not really the accuracy of the gun per say. Now they are not an easy gun to shoot with a strong snappy recoil and a somewhat small grip with a funny angle but I have no trouble getting most rounds in a 3" group at 10 yards and believe me mine is far from a good example of the TT33. I have noticed they do tend to get less accurate as they heat up but the group really only goes up buy a couple of inches. Now of course if you only have a few hundred handgun rounds that will definitely affect your accuracy. I shoot 100-200 of handgun per week and practice definitely makes a big difference when shooting handguns.

S&W 617 22LR with 6 inch barrel (after first 250 rounds); it feels like a ton in hands.

Ok, I have to admit all my pistols are more accurate than I can do.

LOL.... I to, cannot put all that many cylinders through my 617 without taking a break. Get a 17, 6 shots will slow you down and give you some stamina. Still, my 617 is the most accurate gun I own, next to my 29 and followed by my 17, and 19.

Autos... well that's another story. Can't shoot those bloody things worth a s..t.

My Walther P1 claim still stands. Worst HG I have ever encountered. Worse than that god awful NP-18 I had.

I’ll have to agree with gnmontley on this one. I really wanted to like my Walter P1. It was a good price. Reliable. And walther quality. But it was basically a waste of ammo shooting it. It was my first handgun and it made me start to believe I was a terrible shot, until I tried someones glock 21. Were the p38s this bad?

Norinco NP28 double stack 9mm. Shot about 8” at 20 meters.

After I cut the frame and replaced the barrel with a ramped bull barrel, switched out the factory trigger for a caspian trick trigger and replaced the sear, mainspring and leaf spring, and sights, it now shoots about 2” at 20 meters.

"Walther P1. Horrible. Good for two warning shots and a well aimed toss, if that.

Yup, that one and its Grandpa the P38. They both shoot low (but they look daxn cool!). (also FTF issues with mags but I guess that's a different forum) "

Actually, I quite like my P1 and P38. I did a bit of fiddling on both and now no FTF and only an occasional FTE, usually due to my sloppy-made ammunition. Trigger pull on the P1 is 4 lbs 3 oz. in single action.
My worst shooting one is a SAM 1911 in 40 Smith, but I still like the thing. Currently in for some TLC from my gunsmith.

My 1st and only handgun is a walther p1 and I can't hit nothing with it. I always thought it was me that sucked but maybe it is the gun after all! Lol
Might have to give handgun shooting another chance with something different

You might try putting a new barrel on it. I found that made a big difference. One of the CGN vendors carries them.

My M&P 22 struggles to hold all shots inside the 8-ring (8" diameter) of a B-8 target at 25m with most ammunition types. The barrel seems to be prone to lead fouling for some reason.

Remington derringer in .41 rimfire. But it doesn't matter whether you hit anything or not. The bullet bounced off a sheet of Masonite at 5 feet.

But then I've never fired an OSS Liberator. I understand it was designed to have an effective range of "contact", sort of like a .45 acp nail gun.
