** Your NEA102 build **

Here's an update with the Criterion barrel. I fired a couple rounds finally tonight and am still setting up the SLR gas block but it runs well, definitely softer shooting. I will try to get some accuracy testing done in the coming weeks.

It's about how I want it now, it balances on the mag finally which was my target. It points really well for an "AR-10". The gun weighs about 8.0 lbs dry or 9.2 lbs with the optics package on it. You could get it a bit lighter but I tried to keep cost and reliability in mind.

POF Roller Cam Pin
Magpul MOE Fixed Carbine Stock and Extended PRS Butt Pad

Beautiful rifle, Gen 1 looks much cleaner than the new version. Dont really mind the extra stuff they added on the upper to blend in their handguard (although totally pointless) but the new flaring on the magwell just looks awful compared to the original design. Whoever came up with that revision must have had a bad day

Good to hear. I have my Criterion and SLR on. I've never used and adjustable gas block before. What did you do? Lowest setting and work up?

SLR has 12 adjustments, they figure 7 is about right, This is probably for an AR15. I started at 3 below full gas, had one fail to lock bolt back, went up one.

Working good but I think there still is a litle room to play after things are "broken in".

Funtions fine with Hertenberger, GMM 168 and 175. Hertenberger groups are somewhat like buckshot patterns.

had the 102 out for the first time today. put about 100 rounds through it without a hiccup. was shooting fgmm 175g and wasnt getting great groups. going to try some reloads with 175g smk to tighten it up. was hoping for more in the accuracy department. have lots of varget, tac, 175 and 185g juggs to experiment with!

Try 168 smk

People have been having success with that it seems.

O.K. thanks. XM80 will be my choice for first shots.

If that's the NATO round I know mine didn't like it that much. If it is just search Travis Bickle's posts, he was shooting mine. Mine is off the first batch so maybe the second generation ones are better, but mine didn't group well with the nato stuff.

We’ll see if I keep it or even end up shooting it! Lost some interest over the months. And house down payment beckons. If someone is interested in the lot including gun let me know
