A few threads floating out there on general NEA102 stuff. I'd like to keep this thread focused on what your plans are for the build...and pics!

So far I have a VX3 2.5-8X36 with Alumina flips as this will be a hunting rifle. I have Midwest Industries BUIS just for kicks. I am in the process of looking for a decent QD mount for it. Maybe American Defense. Not sure on the furniture yet.

So, what are your plans?

Pictures to come as soon as the first presale rifles start arriving...... ;)
 
I'm trying to decide on optics also. I'm leaning towards a strike eagle in 1-8 but haven't decided.

I am interested in what other folks are planning on doing though.
 
Nightforce NXS 1-4×24
ATRS Rings
BRAKEOUT 2.0 51T COMPENSATOR ( that factory brake looks like absolute trash )
Geissele AR10 trigger (if it fits )
BCM Furniture
Custom M-Lok Handguard
Will send entire Upper and lower to get a once over at the machine shop and have that ugly bird milled off the side
Cerakote black
Atlas bipod

Should be a pretty decent hunting rig with that setup. Now Im just waiting for the beta tester to report all the problems and issues they find and which parts will and won't fit. :)
 
That is sounding nice Dilligaf. May have to borrow a few ideas.

The Strike Eagle was a consideration as well...liking the low end magnification though havent looked through that optic yet

It's OK. He's going to replace it with I <3 NEA to help identify it to any COs who have a problem.

Seriously though, it looks like all it needs is a 1-6 or 1-8 optic and getting rid of that Amazon special muzzle brake. See what works for triggers if it actually shoots decent.

But I'll be in the third wave. I reckon the second wave is probably already committed.
 
Vortex razor hd lh in 2.5-10, Griffin flash comp with concussion reduction device for hunting....


Still debating on the rest.


Anyone know if this will take ar15 trigger packs?
 
After positive reviews:

-vortex razor hd 2.5-10
-the ugly muzzle brake will be removed as soon as its out of the box and replaced.
-debating between an OD and leave it like that or FDE and paint job
