I bet $5 right now that they don't ship with a dust cover. None of the photos of the NEA102/25 ejection port side show a dust cover, and most of the photos show the other side only.
I don't think that lack of a dust cover is a deal breaker (for me) - I don't see one on that paragon of NR rifles the ACR - but it is weird to have provision for one and not install it. Maybe they couldn't get the port and the cover to line up ;-) I'm just glad they ditched the FA.
 
So I have settled on a Vortex 2" offset 30mm scope rail. A Primary Arms Gen 3 1-6X24 Scope with the .308 ACSS reticle. A Magpul MOE K2+ grip and a m-loc bipod mount that will be compatable with my Harris bipod. That should do for now and I will see how that works. All total with rifle, above stated items and a couple XCR-M pistol mags total is $2541. Not bad considering I have around $4000 into my XCR-L. Just awaiting rifle to ship. Just hope the rifles runs well with no function issues. We will see.

For me, it would be a disappointment if the dust cover is missing...

But it would be a SERIOUS disappointment, and potential deal breaker for me, if the receiver is set up to attach one, but as BioPace guesses "... the lack of a dust cover ... maybe they couldn't get the port and cover to line up..."

I guess we will see, but I don't want or need an abomination. I have high hopes that the NEA102 is being done right. If it is, it has the potential to be a HUGE success.

It's pretty self-explanatory.

People will buy this gun to drag through the brush, the dust cover is there to keep #### out.

I have done a lot of hunting and hiking off trail with an XCR-M (no dust cover) and have never had that problem. The only time I have had a lot of crud get in is when a rifle is in an open scabbard. It definitely can't hurt to have a dust cover, but I don't see why it is such a big deal to people. Each to their own I guess...
 
It's a big deal because if they couldn't be bothered to incorporate it, they also couldn't be bothered to incorporate many other key aspects a properly built and designed rifle needs.

I would have been disappointed to see the NEA102 arrive without a dust cover simply because if it has the capacity to have one, then it should included... If it had the provision to have one, but was unable to fit one for whatever reason, then it would have been a deal breaker for me...

So... Either it comes with one, as noted... Or it should be properly set up without one... No half measures please & thank you!
