** Your NEA102 build **

I am not doubting, I am going of personal experience with other nea products, if it shoots .5MOA (as claimed online) I will be pleasantly surprised as rifles for 3 or 4 times the money are unable to do that

That's true. The HK G28 has a ridiculous price tag and they only claim it's a 1.5 MOA rifle. Same as the SR25, the M1A match versions.

I really hope it is sub MOA. That would be amazing for this price. I just haven't seen it myself so I am skeptical. But hopeful!

sure, I would be as well, but that is not what NEA claimed

NEA said:
The NEA25 has won competitions on a national level in France and NZ. Pics are on our facebook page. The 102 is a sub MOA gun, it has shot sub 1/2". We were actually told not to waste time making the NEA102 work with Norinco ammo and other low cost rounds. We persevered, mostly because we know some of our over seas clients may be at times forced to feed them what ever crap it is they find on the desert floor.[\QUOTE]

Seems like that's what he's saying.

Edit: looks like other gun forums are in the swear filter.

I see what you posted/are hoping for with premium ammo, However nea claimed .5moa and only ammo type mentioned is what you may find lying "on the desert floor"

I see two vastly different posts.

Oh man. You seem to be trying really hard to misread what I've posted above if that's what you read into it.

They said it HAD shot .5 MOA. My rifle HAS shot .75 MOA with Norinco ammo and I keep that target on the wall to remind me that sometimes the stars can align just so. And my bolt gun has put 5 rounds in one hole at 200m, but only once.
If this rifle can shoot MOA - 5 round groups at 100yds in 1" or under with Fed Gold Medal Match with regularity (without breaking) that'll be more than sufficient IMO.

Have you ever shot consistent sub moa groups with a semi rifle?

I have.

It takes a lot of things to happen, laying off coffee for a month and taking up yoga for starters...

This is going to be entertaining, now that they've posted that it's a sub moa rifle everyone is going to expect their rifle to shoot consistent sub moa with any ammo even if they have never shot a gun before.
It takes a lot more than a capable rifle and a box of ammo to shoot groups like that. I think the vast majority can expect to see 1.5-2.5 moa with a few people seeing sub moa. Consistent real world accuracy with a decent shooter and ammo will probably be 1-1.5 moa.
Fluking off one sub moa group once does not make a person or a rifle a sub moa shooter. If people on this site were as good behind the trigger as they think they are we would have a lot more success stories in the my rifle shoots sub moa, prove it threads.
If I'm right I would consider the rifle a success and I'll probably be adding one to my collection. NEA has always had good barrels other than their earlier 5.56 barrels being overgassed.

I know no one has one of these in their hands, and I haven't read every post in this thread, but does anyone know if the stocks are compatible with ar-10 stocks, want to buy a magpull PRS in FDE for mine.

My expectations for accuracy are hoping it's better than my m305. Obviously I'd love sub-moa. But I'd be happy with 1-1.5 and wouldn't complain.

I'm also torn on scoping it. Good news is tomorrow I'll be in Edmonton without the family so I'll be poking around Cabelas and Wholesale to see what I like in person for once.

I sure as hell wish that they would push out some "official" data sheets with the specs and pictures. I can kind of understand why they are holding off, a devious marketing tool, but frankly I'm getting pissed/anxious in anticipation of this rifle.

Anyone in the same boat as me?

PM

I'm more interesting in a possible shipping date. I took the last 2 weeks of July off in hopes it would show up in that time.

Me too, but from when I initially pre-ordered, and the expected delivery date to be "mid July", from what I was councilled on, "mid-July" is a time frame, not a date...

So I will have to try and be pacient and suck it up and live with broken stated delivery dates and timelines.

No. That's why I'm waiting for reputable posters (people like yourself - gasp) to take the plunge, shoot some groups and give me a baseline of what it can do.

They talk about it being a slightly modified extension and buffer over on G O C - so who knows?

So I looked at the strike eagle 1-8. So disappointing. But to be fair I also looked at a 2.5-10 viper pst and it sucked for my eye too. Vortex and me just don't mix well sadly.
