** Your NEA102 build **

I just noticed that, very weird because myself and another member here have them on order. I even emailed them to make sure and they said they ship USPS Priority to Canada. Don't think you'll be able to find the Armalite pattern DPMS-High height ones in stock in Canada, I looked high and low. Odinworks ships to Canada as well if you're interested.

Armalite, and DPMS High are two completely different patterns, and each handguard's barrel nut will only fit an upper of it's respective pattern.

This is how I understand it at least. Am i missing something here?

EDIT: I found out that SLR offers either barrel nut with any of their "DPMS high spec" handguards.

The only other uppers I have been able to find that are specified as Armalite spec are from Midwest Industries and armalite themselves. Do you guys know any others?

You are right, they are different treads on upper receiver, people are buying hand guard that at DPMS and because rail height is 2.06 they think that they are the same. Odin works make great hand guard in the Armalite thread. I ordered on for my 102

I posted this a few times already, but here's a fairly comprehensive list and they are for Armalite nuts with 2.06" height. PS: Daniel Defense no longer makes them and the Troy one is piece of #### so I removed it.

Aftermarket:

Armalite Armalite makes a lot of reasonably priced ones
Midwest Industries Many lengths, reasonably priced
Leapers UTG Reasonably priced, Lightweight, more lengths
Precision Reflex Carbon Fiber tube style handguards
Apex Handguards Lightweight Tube Style
Odin Works Many styles and lengths, very light
Lancer Systems Carbon Fiber tube style, multiple lengths
SLR Rifleworks Tons of selection, ultralight options, be sure to option the Armalite barrel nut
Aeroprecision Very nice, multiple lengths
Wilson Combat Here's a 12", also comes in a 14"
Superior Weapon Systems Quad Rails, A little on the heavy side
Noveske (Anything Pre-Gen 3) Look at "Armalite Compatible"
JP Rifles Comes in more sizes, Tube Style
Samson Manufacturing Quad Rail Style

Why is the troy shltty?

got shipping confirmation from Brownells today for 1 of my 3 Orders :) WoOt WoOt...

Working 30 hours this weekend so Ill be able to order that Trijicon 1-8 :)

This build is coming along nicely :).

Is anyone gonna leave these things stock lol.

If my trigger is any indication, which it seems to be for the rest of us first rounders ( ;) ) , it should be replaced if you have the means. I polished mine but still leaves a lot to be desired. Especially with the promise for actual precision shooting it's shown.
I changed the muzzle brake and stock, because I didn't like the ones on it. I won't be going so far as to spend the cash on a new forend. I don't plan on humping through the bush with it, so a heavier bench rifle is fine with me.

Do you leave a Honda civic CRX stock ?

Who owns one of those, and why, lol!

I might be the closest. Reading this thread, a bunch, I don't get it, completely. I love this rifle, in stock form. That's why I bought in. Maybe my brain is still stuck on the FN C1A1 days of way back when. 2 changes only, that I'm making, or really intend to make, at all. 1) Lantac Dragon muzzle brake. Only reason is that when I opened my shipment, the stock muzzle brake was bent at about 15*. Not safe to fire. Went and grabbed something else, as I had a pile of ammo waiting to be fired. 2) Charging handle will be changed. Again,, I am fine with the stock handle, but SFRC jumped on things, when Ryan heard about the muzzle brake, to make things right. I believe a new charging handle should be in my hands soon, compliments of SFRC. I've added an optic. Otherwise, I'd have been happy in the bone stock configuration.

I'll save money from geegaws and widgets and tacticool bolt on thingys and just get another, instead. Made the mistake of letting my wife and youngest daughter send some rounds downrange with me. They LOVE it, also. This is gonna get expensive.

With that, a big shout out to RYAN and MARCIE of SFRC for getting on to making things right, and dealing with the BS of how to get stuff shipped to me without even so much as a complaint. Because of some shipping issues, my charging handle is coming to me the second time, and they are still not billing me for shipping (I offered). SFRC does go the extra mile, to make things right. They definitely took the steps to ensure I am still a satisfied customer.
