** Your NEA102 build **

102 comes with forged receivers, a step up from billet (lighter and stronger) and more costly to manufacture. You could be right on the barrel, maybe it isn't as good.. but it is fluted and nitrided stainless and I've already shot sub MOA with it, and without heat stringing. Not a "cheap" or poor quality barrel in the least.
 
if we are going to compare billet to forged, forged is mo betta. No that it truly matters lol

both rifles are awesome in their own right.
 
Has anyone put a Magpul MIAD® GEN 1.1 Grip Kit on their BCL 102 yet?

Is it a 'Type 1', or a 'Type 2'?

The 'TYPE 1' Kit fits all AR15/M4's as well as many 7.62x51 variants such as the Aero Precision M5 308, CMMG MK3, CORE Rifle Systems CORE30, HK 417/MR762A1, LWRCI REPR, Mega Arms MATEN, POF P-308, Ruger SR-762, and SIG716.

The TYPE 2 Kit uses taller backstraps for optimized fit with certain 7.62x51 receivers such as the Armalite AR-10A/B/T, DPMS LR308, KAC SR25, LaRue OBR, LMT .308 MWS, Palmetto PA10, and S&W M&P10.

In general, the TYPE 1 Kit will fit most all 7.62x51 AR lower receivers but there may or may not be a gap between the backstrap's 'beavertail' and the receiver. This gap is purely aesthetic and will not affect function.

So, does the BCL102 fall into 'type 1' or 'type 2'?
 
I just ordered a type 1 because it should fit no matter what. Looking at the pictures of other magpul grips on BCL102s I can't tell if there is a gap or not so there's a risk type 2 may not fit.

Im at 5500 all in With Atlas bipod and Trijicon 1-8...

Still a NEA but at least if I dont like it I can put it back to stock and resell all the crap I put on it :)
 
Hey, has anyone thought of cutting back the first four inches or so of the hand guard? If any of you guys that are replacing your hand guard, want to either try or send it my way to try, PM me.
 
Hey what ring height you guys think I should get for that Trijicon 1-8 ? If I remember Ar's rings are 1.5 right ? Just realized I hadn't ordered my ATRS rings yet... lol...
