** Your NEA102 build **

I understand there are quite a few made in merica ar-15's composed of 6061

Of course. Lots of companies use it with zero issue. The original AR-15 used it for a few years until they made the switch to 7075 in the sixties or seventies.

Some people just like to stir the pot. (Myself included)

I dont look forward to getting posted out of here. Will suck the fun out of shooting if I have to do it a a static range.

Its like owning a sports car but never taking it to the track... lol...

If you get posted elsewhere it will likely be somewhere with less jacked up property prices, with your additional trade skills, just buy a nearby piece of bush to play in. Land is land you can sell it when you no longer need it, holds value better than guns.

The issue is when I was posted in NB I made about 75% less on side jobs when I could find some. So I want to stay here as long as I can to pocket as much of this free real estate boom money as I can :)

I only have 9 years left in the green machine, after that its a mortgage free retirement in NB :)

Finally got to shoot a bcl-102 today....and so did several hundred other people at Select Shooting Supplies range day. What a fun gun to shoot! Obviously this was a very popular gun today and I don't know exactly how many rounds were fired through it before I got to it but I do know the distributor provided 700 rounds and those were gone by about 11am and Dean had to send someone to his shop to pick up more ammo. By the time all of the guests left and us volunteers got a chance to shoot it was after 4pm so maybe 1400 rounds down the pipe by then???

Anyhow this thing is a blast to shoot. For those waiting on the second shipment, this gun is worth the wait. Simply cannot wait get my hands on one of my own.

Driller, what's your opinion on the ARFX stock? They have the 9.9" and the 7.5", but the 102 buffer measures just over 8.

Do you think that the 9.9" will even work?

Before I drop a few hundred dollars on it, I want to know it will work.

I have that and the handguard left that I'd like to get, and then I'm set.

Unfortunately I have no experience with those stocks. If I had to guess I would say you may want to go with the 9.9" because this rifle has an AR-10 length buffer tube which is the longest buffer tube as far as I know.

Maybe someone else with more knowledge on this can chime in?

It would look ###y as hell for sure.
