** Your NEA102 build **

O.K. thanks. Appreciate it.

So what is the reasoning by changing out the bolt? In my thinking, going with a low mass BCG makes sense to me. Sense, as in, I understand it.

What would be the advantage of changing out the bolt?

having a spare in case something is wrong with the original bolt and I dont feel like shipping my rifle back and forth

Now that we know that basically every part can be changed. $1700 for a Receiver set is a bit much. I'd probably end up changing everything out eventually except the pins, magazine catch and ejection port cover. Hopefully they will release stripped lowers & uppers.

I'll see how it is once I get one. I don't anticipate having to change anything other than lightening or changing out the trigger, the stock and A2 pistol grip. The rest I plan on keeping the same. Getting an extra bolt just in case is never a bad idea with any AR rifle.

Stripped uppers/lowers would be good. I'm also curious to see how they handle the ambi functions in the upcoming versions.

It's not from the bullet tip, it's from the case mouth.

Driller haven't seen many updates from you lately, how is your 102 treating you? Any more mods or testing done?

Mine has been flawless, I had it out to test the POF roller cam pin and it's even smoother shooting now. No marks from the cases like on the pics above. Took it in the woods last weekend and cleaned out some beavers from 80-100 yards on my parent's land. Using 165 Federal Fusion, it's so much fun shooting them on the move. My hunting buddies are really digging it too... reliable, accurate, light, such a fun gun to shoot.

I have the same impression. I haven't gotten out for a while, as school is kicking my personal life out of the picture. I hope to get back to the range next month. No new mods either. I like it the way it is. I am very happy with this rifle :)

I wish I had the time for hunting this year...

My personal opinion is that some of these rifles seem to not like XCR-M magazines. They operate quite well with any polymer magazine from what I have seen/experienced. It seems rifles vary individually a little bit in what they like and dont like. It seems they also reqire a short break in period.

It's more likely there is variation in the XCR-M mags than the BCL 102. I have 5 of these pistol mags and only 3 of the 5 drop free in my GII. Looking at previous posting involving these mags some have had to be brought back into spec. Having used these mags, let's just say that wasn't a surprise. If Gen3 Pmags work, then the rifle is in spec.

Seeing as this will be a hunting rifle when I get it and I will make a point of actually going out this fall and getting something with it, so I can post the pics EVERYWHERE, especially to counter the anti blackgun B.S. not only from the commie elites in our homeland, but also to show the scum fudds that these guns aren't going away and that they'd better get used to them. 5 round Pmags, of which I've got a ton of already will do.

Just checked mine (again).

No marks from the XCR mags. Nothing. But 1 out of 6 of them is very tight, as far has "hitting the release" to let the bolt go, goes.

Minor little scuff where the cam pin wear marks have shown in some.

Still eats anything I throw through it.

I'm about 99% as shipped now, since I went back to the original CH. Didn't like the ambi one. Just seemed so large.
