** Your NEA102 build **

Well Ill split the bill with you brother if I cant find a Gen 1. that way it will hurt less.

christ what a gong show that we have to do this just to get a nice handguard in
i feel like I’m dreaming that a company would do something so incredibly senseless
they have my money anyway, why do they care what handguard I put on it afterwards.
its unreal, its like the twilight zone

Really? No takers? I'll make your handguard fit for free, you just pay the shipping. I can't guarantee it will be pretty but it will be on there. Did I mention I also have a MIG welder? I'm sure it will be useful working on a 102.
I promise not to put more than a couple hundred rounds through it (if it lasts that long). Better send all your spare/new parts as well just in case. I'll even paint any bare surfaces with whatever spray paint I can find in my shop

Might as well just use my chop saw to square up the front.... lol...

Two things;

First, there is no anti rotation tab/lug. It’s the same as before but with some material added to the sides of the upper so the stock handguard blends better. What you are seeing is the over lap of the hand guard on the receiver.

2nd, the IOP program may be pushed into the spring/summer season.

You can see that the receiver rail extends into a relief in the handguard rail. It wont accept aftermarket handguards, the way I see it without modification, different from Gen1. Correct? Any idea why they did this?

No, there is a notch in the hand guard so that it can over lap on the upper on the sides.

Dont worry, they'll find something else to whine about! Ill take the guns they'd have bought! Cheap cheap! Would love another of em!

Hey, I grabbed one of those "extra ones from a government order" ones off of you. The ones with the shaved brass deflector. I notice there is a milled groove in it. Was this for inserting rifle grenade cartridges?

I’m not sure, sorry.

Seriously ? I admint I feel like a dumba$$ for being led to believe there was anti rotation tabs. And since im a grown man ill stand here admit I was wrong and apologise to SFRC for being douche. But I im pretty sure we are all happy about the rest.

So unless you are planning to build a kick a$$ AR10 go start a thread about keeping the 102 stock and booring and leave the big boys alone :)

Looks like we still need to cut a notch in the aftermarket hand guard to mate up with the receiver rail. Still don't get the point but I guess it's the new design. Your still going to need a hammer to make it work.

No you don't. The handguard mounts exactly the same as the one from the last batch.

No need to. I think it just shows that maybe certain folks shouldn't be so aggressive about things that may or may not be true. In the future. Ask polite questions and you get polite answers.

But that would meen id be out of character.. LoL... I did start new ADHD meds today hopefully they work better.

Glad to hear that aftermarket handguards should still fit but that doesn't change the fact that BCL should be posting information about changes to the rifle before taking peoples money for them. This crap about posting on social media and nothing on their own website is garbage. When I want to know about a product from a manufacturer I go to the source not Facebook. Facebook is for people with no life to post pictures of their lunch because they think someone else actually gives a chit what they're doing 24 hours a day, not for firearms manufacturers to post product information, at least it shouldn't be the first or only place they post it.
The only thing we get is what appears to be leaked photos with no explanation, it's no wonder people make up info and run with it if that's how you do business.
Funny how the easier it becomes to communicate with the world the less information we seem to get about products. Do they truely not give a crap about the consumer or are they just lazy.
