Yeah sounds like we are on the same page then. I also definitely want to see it in person first before I trash it completely. Before I got to handle the one pictured above, I thought the flared magwell looked horrible from pictures I had seen online but once I had it in my hands I found myself liking what they've done.
Most likely yes. I actually didn't mind the subtle branding in person with the original CH but with the new CH it seems over redundant is all. I would like to see the ambi version in person before I could write it off but either way the old style CH was going to be replaced so at this point I'd prefer the ambi.
They've also managed to put wings on the barrel.

I never noticed the wing on my barrel!
I did notice it on mine too. But I had the handguard off so it was obvious to see.
come on those aren't machine marks... they are "feathers"...
I think someone in the design board asked their team for a rifle with more features... but the lead designer must of heard FEATHERS.

Where’s a good place to buy a 308 barrel? I know Saskatoon gunworks has the ballistic advantage 6.5 creedmoor stuff but I want a barrel that is lighter not heavier, and I want it in 308. #### I’d probably take a lightweight 6.5 barrel.

So you are whining you can't find a lighter .308 barrel for your 102?
Lol asking a question is not whining.
But I’ll add my whining. Might need a new barrel, stock one is ####ed. Don’t know if I’ll send the gun back for a warranty replacement barrel or just put a lighter better one on myself.

Those aren't machining marks, they are low profile horizontal fluting. Another feature of the 102 that BCL offers.

Chamber is ####ed. Large spiral groove in it. Brass expands into it and barely extracts. Goes all the way around the case. Starts at the shoulder and goes downwards.
