Looks good, let us know how it shoots, mine's starting to show some promise with the stock barrel, 41.5 -42 gr. of Varget under 168's and 165's, as well as 175s and 178's under 42.5 gr. of Varget, of course the 44 - 44.5 gr. loads were looking good too. 3 shots were just sub to 1 moa, then it would appear that heat and a rapid string took over and they opened up, best to 1.5" most to 2"

lines up perfect...my armalite adapter had a stripped screw hole though. PITA now to get a new one from the states but it work fine still.
I put the 15.5 inch Odin works on mine, I ordered it before I knew there was a 17 inch version, how did your top rail line up the pic rail on your receiver

Interested to see how the Faxon match barrels shoot. Couldn't find many reviews so decided to go Shillen instead.

43.4-44 varget have been my goto for both 308 tactical bolt actions and AR10/AR308 rifles with similar barrels. I've seen two posters report with stock BCL 102 barrels get .5 to .75 moa 5 rounds at 100 with 44 and 168 ammo. Just shoot slow. Plus that 43-44 varget seems to get 5 rounds without it opening up. More powder/pressure/velocity warms that barrel up faster.

with what brass? I was using IVI and was getting pressure signs way before 44g. I found 42.5g of Varget under 168's showed promise.

Federal or Winchester. Yup Jon was one of the groups that I was referring to. There was another as well. I load the same in other AR10 and a 5R milspec using Federal or Winchester. IVI has thicker brass.

So my load is probably close if not a little hot.

That would be my thinking. 43 of varget with Win or Federal brass gives you federal gold specs. I believe with the 18.5” barrel that you will need to be a little bit hotter to hit the accuracy node due to loss of velocity from the shorter barrel.

I just came back from the range, what a sweet little rifle to shoot, with that .338 Federal barrel I was only shooting at 50 meters, our range only has built in target stands at 50 meters, at 100 you have to push them into the ground. With the adjustable gas block and the low mass JP bolt carrier the guns kicks a little more than my .223 and I was shooting 200 gr bullets. At 50 meters 5 shots were touching each other

Does anyone know why BCL would drill the front QD sling swivel so low on the fore end? Seems like it pretty low, and would make slinging it barrel up a little top heavy
