Trying to decide on a trigger but looking for some input, leaning toward geissele but haven't heard much about what the best options are

Mostly shooting target within 100m and looking to get into hunting in the near future, never had a 2 stage but it seems to be the way to go, any suggestions?

If you're just shooting 100m/hunting before you spend a bunch of money on a new trigger try a paracord trigger job.

The Geissele two stage *Hi-speed National Match trigger is fully adjustable.
Probably overkill for your use, but it is bar none the best trigger they offer.

Try the Paracord trigger as Dave suggests - if nothing you will learn something and it may just suit your needs.

curious about these paracord trigger jobs, do they actually help?

Yes. It’s what I did with mine. Went from there being no way I could shoot decently with that stock trigger to it being useable. I was getting full crunch all the way then the break. Now you get the crunch/drag at the beginning, then you feel some resistance and you squeeze to get a clean break. If you treat it like a two stage you can use it. It smoother out the resistance and break stage. Is it good? No. The trigger sucks. But after an hour with the paracord trick it went from not s chance of being useable to being able to do what I need.

It smooths out the travel. It won’t reduce the weight or make shorten the reset. With the BCL you will still have a crappy trigger but you will be able to shoot with it vs it being unusable.
