Your nicest rifle , maybe wrong cartridge

Not my nicest rifles by any means but my rem 783 in 223 I bought planning on swapping the barrel to a 20 tac but shot it as a 223 and the very first 3 shots clover leafed at 100 yards so I kept it as is. Bought another in 308 to swap to 338fed but it shoots very well and I want to play around with the lighter 308 bullets before I swap the barrel


My fav cartridge well one of them is a 2506. Love the cartridge but my rifle is a Stevens 200. It's never let me down but it sure is ugly. It's Iike that girl across the hall. Well do anything you ask but you don't want to be seen in public with her. Someday I'll have a rifle worthy of the cartridge

I’ve shot game with an extensive amount of cartridges. Including the 7x57 :). 100% of the time a passive observer would be pulling it out of his south end if he correctly picked the cartridge used. As a friend of mine says. “Cartridges are more alike than different”.

But bring a 338 to breakfast. :)

Gun companies are always trying to reinvent the wheel and convince folks that they MUST have the newest and latest iteration. Truth be told there is not a whole lot of difference in any of the mainstream cartridges. Dead is dead.
