Your Ol Faithful?

I always seem to grab my dad's old rifle, a 93 Mauser in 7x57. I wouldn't want to guess how much game it's taken. He used it for decades and I have used it constantly since I got it in the late 70's.

Ruger M77 in 308WIN. Nothing special about her other then the fit is perfect for me and I shoot it well. My wife bought it for me, used, because I mentioned I liked it when I saw it. Great decision on her part.

Super neat rifle!

I’m not even a ruger or 308 fan, but for some reason that rifle makes me look sideways at more than a couple much fancier rifles in the safe.

Thank-you. As I say, shes nothing fancy, she just works. Its paired with a 2-7x Leupold scope. The combo just works for moose, deer, and bear here in central Ontario.

Can't help you with a 7x57, but this 275Rigby that Chris Griesbach is just finishing up will be my go-to gun in the near future.

The older I get, the more difficult it is for me to get excited about bolt rifles. They're just tools to me.., .

...but, wow...that is one gorgeous tool! :)

Nothing that can compare to ardents rifles in looks or coolness but these are my 3 rifles i carry most. Small game is my 17mach2 savage. It had a wood stock but i modified a synthetic stock to fit it and rattle canned it. Found out after i bought the stock that the mark11 came in various lengths. Anyway i love this lil rifle.
Next is a 783 223 16.5" hb in a mdt lss chassis with a nightforce shv 4-14x56. Built as a big brother to my savage fv 22lr in a black mdt lss22 chassis. This will be used to coyote and general plinking. And lastly is my 458wm. I just F ing love this rifle. Load development start and ended with 72grs h4895 under a 405gr fnsp. 50 yards 3 thru the same hole at 2400fps. Shoots the 400gr woodliegh ppsn the exact same. Its worked wonders for bear and a wolf that just wouldnt leave. Wasted my tag on him and then later had to pass up an opportunity for a massive black phase one i was after

I love shotguns as well and i carry my a400 xplor and my baikal ij58 mostly

Thanks ..... It took a lot of patience from the builder and my own flip-flopping ideas around to finally get a final form in mind. The biggest hurdle was my inexperience in a project like this.

I'm sure Chris coached you through it... but to my eye, you made all the right choices, and ultimately the buck stops with you... kudos.

Remington 788 Franken rifle , has a unknown stainless steel barrel from a Remington? in 7mm/08 and the stock has been stripped and done in a boiled linseed oil treatment.
On top is a vintage Schmidt & Bender 8x56 fixed power #1 German post reticle 26mm tube on vintage Redfield rings

Would have to say my go to rifle is my BLR in 358 Win. Has been carried and used a lot over the past 17 years.
As for my bolt action rifles, my custom lh Sako AV in 7MM STW has been carried and used the most.

My general go to is a Parker hale 1200c I fit into another less “70’s” stock I refinished. Has a fantastic trigger, perfect bluing and shoots 1 moa with 180 grain partitions. Not a fan of how the fx2 is sitting though, thinking of lower rings that will give me some wiggle room to slide that scope back a c-hair
