Hi folks,

I would greatly appreciate some insight on the .45LC and .357 Magnum rounds. Which do you prefer and why and which has the greater stopping power, say, if you were to be attacked by a grizzly or a moose?

I am looking to purchase the Uberti revolver carbine and don't know which calibre to pick. I guess it is a pretty nice gun to carry out in the bush. It weighs only 4lbs. and should give you better accuracy than a handgun, plus, of course, it is non-restricted and legal to carry outside the house.

Uberti only lists the 45LC on their website, but both those would be too light for griz or moose IMHO. 45LC can be loaded to decent velocities in strong frame revolvers, but I wouldn't try it in one of those SAA clones.
Lots of handy carbines around though, Marlin makes some heavy hitter lever actions if you are after the cowboy look.
The Dominion Arms 870's are pretty handy as well.....12g slugs are pretty good griz deterents.
