Your opinion of the RobArms XCR

Had to buy one

I just bought one last Friday. I do not like the fixed stock in fact I hate it. I am half way through machining a fixed and folding option that will accept AR stock tubes either the cheap or mill spec. Spent all weekend searching the internet for pictures how the factory did theirs. I am close in design and am near running it through the machine again, just have to touch up the program. I went with the SCAR type button lock where it is accessed from the side of the stock rather than from the top. I will keep you posted. I would love to run a hundred through the CNC if there is interest here. Am frustrated that we cannot have them sent to Canada. It would be nice of RobArms would send their OK and drawings to make these ourselves! The last thing that I want to do is piss them off!!

nza - Yup, NF&G. It'd be great to shoot with you sometime as I currently have no one to shoot with besides for my friends that I take out Dumont area, who don't own any firearms themselves, or know much about them.
Unbfornutenately none of my blacks are allowed off the reservation...
guess we'll have to do it at nfg.

I'm away till mid may, but after that....

In regards to that camo picture you're all salivating over - I emailed my friend and asked him how it was done.

He said:

I had Lakota Industries use their water transfer printing/ hydrographic printing process. They have a pic of my rifle on their site under Crye Precision.

My barrel finish fried at -36 Fahrenheit recently during a quick 90 round session. I sent it back for their new tougher coating and it's on the way back

Finally got my modified stocks mocked up.

R.e: Stock Adaptor

Almost done the drawings for the stock folder adapter to fit the AR M4 style tube. I will need 4 axis machining ability and then to have them level III anodized. Anyone in Calgary have a 4 axis machine? I will be selling them once I have played with the prototype and know its good. I will post pictures soon. Sorry Rob-Arms but we need cool stuff also, sucks that we have to make our own but we have to do what we have to do.

Prototype stock folder

Well here you have it ladies and gentlemen. This is a prototype folder for my XCR. Current construction: aluminum with steel locking post. Hardened hinge pin positioned between 2 set screws.

Take a look.

A little description about my XCR:
New folder for my M4 stock
I've changed my stock, hand grip and flash hider/muzzle break
Flash hider/muzzle break provided by ATR Calgary
Elcan specter KR night site illumination, 1x/4x magnification
Front post complete with surefire light
Green laser

Currently sited in for 0 @ 200 yards but still have to site in to match the bullet drop compensation on my scope reticule. Have taken it out to 600 yards and love it to pieces. Especially now that my stock is a folder. I hate the 5 round magazine limit though cause this thing's ready to rock 'n roll.

I sould have them made by mid to end of May.

Who has these 10 round magazines? Seems like any AR type mags are out of stock.

Del Selins apparetly had some, but sold out very quick(as usual with this item), sometimes you can find some on the EE. I ran a "WTB" for these mags and a couple days later, I had 2 coming my way brand new.

I have 5 of the RRA 10 shot mags .. some part of 1 mag is given me trouble as i get misaligned feeds in my XCR and in my friends Bushmaster M4...can`t tell whats bent or broke . anyone else have probs with them in a XCR?
