Tracers aren't illegal. Incendiary's are. If you're thinking of mixing up a batch of home made tracer compound, make sure you don't turn yourself or your house into an incendiary I'm pretty sure the insurance company would be able to find a way to wiggle out of paying on that one LOL !!!

A quick Google search found a great page on making your own tracer ammo. I don't want to get a warning so I'll just say it's the first post that comes up when you enter "how to make tracer rounds" into Google.

No. The OP asked about MAKING tracer rounds not loading them.

Maybe if you read the entire thread (including my quote from the FAQ) you would have picked up on that. Maybe you should re-read my post.

I have pulled tracer rounds in my desk that I bought off the EE that I load in my .223.

Tracer ammunition has no sporting purpose in Canada..at least thats the reason national resources canada said they wont let anyone import it anymore for sale.You know,the same people trying to help us with new reloading regulations,for our own safety of course.

Very correct, black powder is 1.1D, smokeless propellent is 1.3C, tracer projectiles are 1.4G & FMJ or hunting ammunition is 1.4S.
