Your Press and Accessories Peeves, by Company brand: Hornady

This might be of some help.

Can also try the PTX Expander die in drill chuck and fine Scotch-Brite type pad to polish it's exterior or use Autosol or Flitz with cloth.

If you put a bunch of cases in a bag and spray in a shot of case lube and shake them around you will be amazed at how much smoother it makes a progressive press.

I've tried that and it doesn't help; I'm finding that perfectly clean brass(wet tumbled with stainless media) is the worst, brass that's got a light coat of carbon (ie. once fired) doesn't have this problem.

I've done this before and while it does make sizing and expanding much smoother, it still leaves lube residue on the case requiring another step to remove it.

I've never removed the lube left behind, if it's noticeable you used too much.

One of my peeves was the powder measure bushing coming loose after awhile so measure would move up and not drop a charge until the bushing was re-tightened. This seems to be a problem only for the long, heavy powder measure.
Hornady has a fix.

When I got my LNL several years ago I saw the “powder measure bushing coming loose” on several gun sites. Mine never did but I contacted Hornady and they sent some shims. Even after 500 to 1000 loading sessions it doesn’t move.
