Mine shoots very nice groups at 100M with subsonic target .22.
Clean the grease from the bore, bolt, and action before you shoot it - like all Norinco .22 rimfires it comes packed in cosmoline.

If you mount a scope it has to be with high rings or the scope has to be mounted on the rear sight base. The rear sigth base will take a standard M98 rear sight. I converted a M98 rear sight and drilled and tapped it for a picatinny rail, then mounted a long eye relief pistol scope. Less than 1" groups at 50 metres with select subsonic ammo. It does like T22 and federal champion. It does NOT like Walmart discount federal bulk pack.
.22 rimfire rifles may be picky about ammo. Try many brands to get the best groups.

not bad

I bought two for $99 each and wasnt disapointed, but they were diamonds in the rough so to speak. I just recently sold one, only to make room and am now kinda regretting it.... anyway. If you are at all handy you might have to refinish the stock as it comes with the most easily damaged finish i have EVER seen, and the sights may or may not be usable. If you get one and need help give me a shout as I have rebuilt two of them thus far and they are great.

I have one. Neat looking rifle. Will probably need a bit of work if you get it. I had to deburr some of the innards and give it a serious cleaning. I also removed the dog-poo paint they had on it and refinished it.
