your top 3 favorite callibers for hunting

Favorite calibres.

Just going by calibres I've taken most of my game with, I'd say:
-7m/m Rem Mag, Stainless/synthetic 700 Remington=18 deer , 1 moose, wolf.
-.280 Rem, Mountain Rifle 700 Remington=10 deer.
-.30-06, 7600 Carbine Remington= 5 deer.
A special mention must go to .303, 7X57, .300 H+H and .280 Ross's I own, but have not taken game with them (yet).
Cheers

If you want to get into Shotguns (which this thread is not about)
I would say in order:
20G
410
12G

20G is by far my favourite BUT I do use my 12 more, I use my 20 for bunnies, grouse, and occasionally ducks. My 12 is strictly Ducks and Geese but has killed grouse and bunnies. And my 410 is my favourite road gun for poppin grouse out of tree tops.

only got 3- 223, 308 and 338- however, that will cover just about anything worth shooting

My current favorite 3 are:

222 Rem. - Fun little calibre, great for gophers, good for coyotes out to about 250 yards, and awesome accuracy.

270 WSM - Flat shooting medium game rifle, a good choice for me to hunt both the prairies and the mountains.

338 Winchester Mag. - Good for moose and elk, plus gives me a little more confidence when I'm in grizzly country.

First and foremost a .22 LR, secondly anything at or above 7-08, third is anything that is intermediate.....apart for .22 LR everything else is opportunistic and up for grabs.
