today i decided to head out and try and get a few bunnies but all i got was really cold, wet and pissed off
started out with a parking ticket on my truck when i went to leave home
then as i was getting my gear ready on the side of the road at the hunting location, a school bus goes flying by and i get covered in slush.
about 30 minutes into the hunt i go to cross a creek thats about 12" deep. you guessed it, face first right in. theres was a root under the snow i didnt see. of course the only spot wheres its high enough for my boot to get caught under is where i step
of course my 870 just had to get filled up with mud...
then i get back to my truck and realize i forgot my bed liners (for people that wet the bed = great for seat protection
) so i have to sit on my hunting coat and get it wet and muddy.
not over yet...
as i go to pull out the rear end starts going sideways. stuck and nobody would stop to give me a tow so i had to scratch up gravel with my boot and move it with my hands.
didnt see a single rabbit either. ill be back out tommorow so hopefully the bad luck wont be around again.
