Youth .22 info needed

Hi, is there a manufacturer of a youth .22 (old or new). I want a lite weight (3-4lbs) 22 that is a bolt action repeater to start my son siloette shotting. If I can't find a repeater I will likely buy him a Savage Cub.

you could always go the route of buying an 10/22 and a short barrel with a smaller stock....

Possibly a CZ 452 Scout would fulfill your requirements. It comes with a single shot adapter, but all you have to do is buy a magazine for it. Check it out at:

CZ Scout is the only youth REPEATER I have found, and is probably what I will go with personally, when your child grows larger you can swap out the stock and have a quick pointing (16" barrel) squirrly rifle. If you don't mind levers, Henry has a youth model too.

I don't like the mini bolt as there is no feed ramp for the cartridge.
