My son bagged his first deer this morning. He's so excited can't stop jabbering,lol. Dropped him with one shot with my 30-30 marlin,I've had him shooting since he was 5 and he's a pretty good shot now.

Deer was 130 lbs at the butchers,pretty big bodied for a 2 point. I'm going to make a plaque mount the rack, the brass (I made sure to grab it lol) and a picture of him with the deer.

Good job, happy to see more young fellers enjoying hunting. I spend most of my time scouting & helping the young'ins to fill their tags that I hardly have any time to fill mine. All worth it in the end when you see smiles like the one on your sons face.
