I'm currently looking for a Yugo 59/66 but not sure what the current market value on this style of sks is. Anyone have any recent references?

I think you mean a 59/66. Shooters go for $200 up,unfired unissueds can put you back up to $500

Yes 59/66. I'm waiting for Marstar's shipment but have one locally to look at in the meantime.

i had two before .

the solid wood is very good compared to others , the metal is very good too but insides has a wee bit more machining marks .

The one I'm looking at has the Croation Coat of Arms on the recoil spring cover. The same place that the Tula/Izzy star and date would be on a Russian. Anything unique about that?

I do believe that is one from the Croation Guard. Very rare item this side of the pond,especially in the condition it looks to be in. Nice find. Do the accessories come with it?

Yep, they sure do.

edit to add: The pictures I've found of the Croatian Honor Guard with their 59/56 rifles have a badge/crest pressed into the right side of the stock, so that the crest is legible when the rifle is at their side. This rifle doesn't have that, just the crest on the recoil spring cover.

The Croation Guard is different than the Honor Guard. From what I understand the Croation Guard is more like our Militia or the US National Guard.

Your google-foo is weak Grasshopper. Try looking for the Croation Guard,then click on the Croation National Guard link. You'll see that emblem in the middle of their crest.

Might be hard to find. I've seen that one before and one other. But then what else would they have used except M70s and Mausers.

Ok guys,Johnone might be watching, so keep the estimates low, ;0) I am hoping for $300. - $350. for the ones he is bringing in. He is usually very reasonable with prices and he says they are excellent to like new I believe.
It shouldn't be to much longer before they ae here!
