Yugo 8x57 Mausers

yea, but the Yugo one itself is a nice intermediate action, with a shorter throw. Very nice to use over a regular K98. And as for smooth actions, one I had was definitely a bit rough, but the one I have now is very nice. No, not quite as good as my K31, but very nice.

I'd rather have a Yugo capture 98 then a Yugo Mauser...they are OK but roughly finished and not exactly smooth actions.

Silky smooth bolt on my M48, but I took the time to clean and lube it properly. Don't see anything roughly finished on mine... I'm very impressed with it.

Unfortunately, it looks like the nicest ones that TradeEx had, are now gone. Nice rifle, looks like a laminated stock. My Yugo M48 was a $479 Canadian Tire find... very pleased as it cleaned up extremely well and the bore is like new! Bayo/sling/ammo pouches/cleaning rod/sight hood on the way for it too. That's a VZ24 bayo that fits but isn't correct for the M48, I have a correct one that's coming.

No complaints on my VZ24 Mauser, it's gorgeous!

I acquired some extra handguards for my VZ24, two are on the EE right now if anyone's interested. Look the same size as the Yugo's, not sure if they swap in though (didn't try).

What was the bore like on your VZ24? Mine has sharp rifling but mildly dirty/pitted.
