Never saw a two etched Yugo bayonet like this one, it is light and looks more like a dagger.
There are absolutely no stamps, no serial number, nothing, it came with a M48 BO rifle.
Can somebody enlighten me?

Looks like a Belgian bayonet for an M1935 Mauser or FN 49. Not Yugoslavian at all. Does it fit properly?

You appear to have lucked out with your bayonet.

It's from Belgium and fits the F.N. 1949 SLR otherwise known as the FN 49. There are two versions one with the drain hole (yours) and one without it.

Very nice find.

What do you mean? is it more valuable than a Yugo Mauser Bayonet?

Thanks guys, you where right on.
I checked and researched the almighty internet, and after closer inspection I found these markings on the pommel:

That means it was for an Egyptian FN 49 in 8mm Mauser.
All least the caliber is correct :)

I haven't seen one of those in years... great find!

Thanks.
I was not really searching for this bayonet, actually I expected to get a Yugo Mauser bayonet.
Maybe I should sell it and get a Yugo instead, they show up regularly in new condition.
