Yes. Force-matched. I have a German K98 with the original factory code that has been rebuilt in Yugoslavia, and it has all matching numbers, but it is clearly re-numbered because the style of some of the numbered parts are late war and not appropriate to pre-war reciever.
Like the rifle you pictured on the first page of this post, both of my Yugo rifles are numbered on the right side of the reciever and on the top of the bolt handle, floorplate and left hand side of the stock.
Unless I am mistaken, the original German serial number would have been on the lefthand side of the reciever ring on a 98k, along with a national eagle, but these would have been removed during the refurb. when the new numbers and your Yugo crest were stamped in.
