Yugo M-24/47

So picked up a Yugo M-24/47 marked as a k98.

No pics ATM.

Anything I should know about them?
Matching bolt and receiver.

I've had one for about 20yrs. Mine looks mint. Good accuracy with cast bullets. My best guess on value for a nice one would be 4-500 bucks. Good value if you are looking for a shooter 8x57.

Basically the M24/47 is a rework of the M24s that Yugoslavian purchased/produced before WWII. The did some slight updates, refurbished them, replaced any worn out parts, scrubbed all the monarchs markings (though you may find some), and then threw them into storage. One important thing to know about the Yugoslavian M24/47 is it is a intermediate Mauser action, which means it is slightly shorter than the standard K98/G98 action.

Value is in the 350-500 area depending on who is interested. The value might to up a little if you have the proper bayonet and if you have other accessories (cleaning kit, frog and scabbard, sling etc.).

I liked mine when I had one....shot good, not the smoothest '98 action, but good accurate barrels.
