Yugo m48 BO

When it comes to milsurps, condition is everything, as is location.

The Yugo M48 variants presently being sold in Canada are "A" variants and the few I've looked at have stamped ferrules and triggerguards, but in VG or better condition, with all matching numbers and priced around $600-$700 depending on the outlet.

The all matching Yugo M48, with crest, in pristine 99-100% condition will easily fetch $800+ depending on where you're located.

The Yugo M48BO variants were purposely made without national markings on their receivers, other than factory origin and were at first touted to be for a clandestine order to the Middle East (maybe) that fell through and the rifles were put into long term storage afterwards.

The BO variants could possibly have been built for a clandestine purpose but IMHO, they were built with expectations of more orders and were stored until they could be sold and have any national ownership crests roll engraved onto their receivers, either in Yugoslavia or the by the nation that purchased them. This wasn't an unusual practice by the way.

The BO variants are usually in excellent condition but not as rare in Canada as many believe. They do go for a bit of a premium, when you can find a collector that really wants that specific variant, so if your rifle is in excellent, unfired after leaving the factory, condition, $850-$900. The price will drop down quickly, depending on condition.
