3 years after WWII? Or did you mean against German civillians......

I doubt your grandmother saw M48's used against Germans since M48 = 1948 design.

Serbia, during World War II, was primarily issueing the M1924 Mauser in 7.92x57mm. I suggest you pick up a Copy of Branko Bogdanovich's work entitled "Serbien and Yugoslav Mauser Rifles". (ISBN No. 1882391357)

Also, Marstar is the ONLY imported of these in Canada. P&S Carries them too, but they are just reselling the Marstar guns and the prices are identical.

Should be a good Mauser, I've had a couple - no complaints. They all have nice bores and are pretty much in great condition. A little rougher finished than the pre-WW@ guns, but still very nice.

Hope you like it - post pics when it arrives.

ok, misunderstanding...she saw the same type of the k98 german rifle (but yugo made) in action. probably the m24's

i own a m48, fun rifle. try to stay from Romanian stuff, the cases they tend to stick after a bit of shooting. the turk stuff is good and the bandolieers and strippers are a bonus.:D
