I'm new here and am looking for a rifle for the near future. I checked around and they seem to be a bit rare. Like I said, I would like to know if any are still avail. Unused or very slightly are ok.
I picked one up several months ago, it was "never fired" and in beautiful condition. It was a Yugo M-48BO, there are still a few around, but don't waste time if you want one. 8mm Mauser can handle anything we need to shoot at in Canada.
thx for the info fiddler. I'm not really interested in the BO version tho. I would prefer the m48 or the m48a. If any1 can tell me where I could find some in Canada, I would really appreciate it. Im in Montreal, Quebec.
So you don't want a new old stock unfired M48BO which is the same as a M48 except it has no markings . You will have to settle for a used M48 then , Keep a eye on the EE they do show up
I just received the M48BO this week from Marstar.
Is as advertised, excellent condition, very minor markings on the stock, mirror bright barrel and bolt.
2 hours to clean out the cosmo, can't wait to get out and shoot it.
Ammo pretty scarce, $28/20rounds of Prvi, $31 for Norma

Nice rifles. I have no idea why anyone would not look at an un-issued Yugo before one that was in service? The M-48 BO are new and unissued. I doubt there are anymore.
Reloading is the way to go, once you have a collection of brass.
The reason i am looking for one with a crest is more sentimental value than anything. I guess I could settle for a BO. Thx alot for your input guys.
I will try Frank. Thank you johnone.
Hey Mladen,
I am also planning to get a Yugo M48 for the sentimental value as well, however the setup I want with a ZRAK M76 scope (pre war .) will cover the markings so it may be a better idea to get the m48bo. Although i still would prefer a m48 as well.
