After only 250-300 rounds my M57 slide is starting to get stuck in the rear position:

IMG_2597.jpg

All of the binding or stickyness seems to happen in the last 3/4-1" of travel.
It only takes a slight nudge to get it moving again, but nonetheless it's screwed up as it will get stuck like that frequently during normal firing.

I am by no means a pistol expert (she's my one and only!), but I can guarantee it's not a cosmoline or lubricant issue.
Pretty confident it's not a reassembly error because I've watched/read any youtube videos, or forum guides on dis/reassembly that I could find... but I could be wrong!

Any help or insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

There may be many causes for this.
You need to figure out what is interfering with what. Assuming you have some basic filing tools and certain technical aptitude.
field strip and disassemble it and inspect internal components. remove parts that can cause the issue and assemble pistol without them and cycle it manually, if issue still there move on to other part and look through openings see if binding is visible and eliminate the affected area by filing or grinding on it.
All components need to be inspected, hammer group, barrel, bushing, slide itself and on this pistol captive recoil spring all can cause stoppages if there is sharp edges or binding on any of them.
There is good sticky on TT pistol trigger improvement. Look there as well to get an idea what to check.
good luck

Great advice.
An hour on the couch with some lithium grease, a tiny piece of 600grit, and some crappy t.v shows & the problem is gone.

Suspect the slide rails were mostly to blame as it seems a lot of tiny burrs came off -but I worked on all contact areas as suggested.

Nothing like troubleshooting to familiarize yourself with the workings of something.

Thanks for the help, definitely taking the pistol with me on next range trip.
