It is most definitely corrosive, Berdan primed, non steel core. The Americans ate most of this stuff up after the ATF banned steel core 7.62x39 imports. Its apparently pretty good stuff but not markedly better than other surplus.

What's the benefit of brass if it's not easily reloadable?

Brass makes for easier extraction in manually cycled actions. A laquer coated case can stick, brass or copper wash steel cases don't, at least in my AIA enfield.

Wait, are we sure these are brass cases? They look like the top third of the case is grey? Some sort of brass-washed steel case or something perhaps?
