Hi all ,
I have being looking to add Yugoslavian M24/47 rifle to my collection . Marstar has them for about 700$ also every now and than you can see it at EE forums at about 500 price range.Theres one posted at the moment for 450$ with cracked stock. Probable has to be fixed before taking to the range.I was thinking to do a small project and try to fix the crack, but since I never dealt with a broken wood not really sure if its worth dealing with.
Thanks.

There has been 2 kicking around on the EE lately, try using the search I am pretty sure the one did not have anything wrong with it.

Well I did a search and can't find the other one, it must have sold. The one you are looking at the crack doesn't seem that bad or in a critical area. You could probably fix it with out too much hassle and it would make a fun little project. It's up to you there a loads of Mauser out there.

I picked up one M48 that is in great shape except for a crack just ahead of the receiver on the top cover behind the rear sight. Its very fixable and has just been waiting for the warmer weather for some adhesive to fix it. If your interested PM me and could likely have it shipped within your 500 budget. They are really nice rifles. It was a crack i missed on photo inspection only to see when i had the rifle in hand. Seller denied knowomg of the issue of course. I have not shot the rifle myself yet.

I have an M48 already and I'm planning to add one more mauser to the collection in the future at some point, but not in the hurry.I was looking at swedish M38 but for some reason the M24/47 grabbed my attention even though (not an expert) I think it will handle exactly the same as the m48. One with cracked stock that's currently posted just seem a bit high priced since most of Yugo mausers runs at about 450-550$ range at EE forums.
