I agree that there's a *lot* of money in that rifle. It certainly has been individualized. It's like a lot of custom setups. It makes sense to the original owner, but he won't get his money back selling it.

I have several customized Mausers down in the basement. I happen to like them, but others may not. Heavy barrels and fat stocks are not for everybody. I did go for a hand rubbed oil finish rather than camo though. My guess is that there is a couple thousand dollars in each of them. Best guess is that I could sell them for 25 cents on the dollar.
