Yukon hunting with .458 Win Mag

I understand the want but not the need for the large cal rifles in North America. 7 mm 300.win mag .will take care of all the game in the Yukon. A charging grizzly is just as dead from a 7 mm as with a 458 in the bean.dead is dead.i would prefer a comfortable shooting rifle that I shoot well then a thumper that hurts.I would love a ruger 375. And have been keeping a eye open for a deal . Dutch

If I were to go back which will probably never happen it would be a tough choice between my 375 H&H and my 375 Ruger ( Howa ) as both are equally comfortable to handle and carry, also very similar in the accuracy and trajectory department.
Either one would suffice for me for whatever I would be allowed to hunt.

Haven't you got a 366 Wagner? That would be the right answer.

Why do you use the same logo pic as norman999, if you like varieties?

:)

To be fair, Phil was here first.

And to be exact, there is no norman999 on CGN at all... ;)

Back to the thread...
It appears that I may already have all I need, and .366 Wagner is enough for my Yukon trip.

If you're referring to the 9.3X62 I have had four along with a 35 Whelen.
In all honesty when the heaviest bullets were used in both there were very little difference... if any.
And since the 9.3 is the current ' flavour of the month ' they were all easily sold.... still have the Whelen ( too many decades of good memories ).
