Yukon Moose

Great job on the moose!

The rivers sure were low this year up here! Lots of guys didn't even try to hunt them; lots of guys who did spent a pretty penny on props and repairs...

Congratulations on a terrific moose! Sure makes all the work worthwhile, eh?

How did the Accubonds work out? I have heard mixed reports on them.

Ted

It was a trip to remember for sure.I thought the accubonds are great as they dont damage a lot of meat.I had 3 friends that all shot moose up here with them and everyone thought they were good, but did not pass throught??The moose here are really big as you know so its hard to say if thats good or bad. I did shoot a whitetail in November at 478 yards in Sask,1 shot and it passed though no problem. That was with my 7mm.I will use them again next year i think.

Accubonds are great bullets and I have been shooting them for years. Some will argue this but a premium bullet should dump all the energy into the animal and be recovered on the far side. In effect you get the maximum transfer to the animal...not blowing a big exit hole.

I trust accubonds for sure with all my hunting rifles...

Great Moose by the way...
