Yukon mule deer rut

What type of area do mule deer usually rut in? We have put on a couple thousand km’s Looking for a buck with no luck. Thinking perhaps because the rut is on and maybe they move away from the typical grassy hillsides

Story I got when I was up there, Mule Deer are just starting to move into the Yukon in response to Climate change, they've been sen as far north as Dawson.

Couple thousand Ks?? They typically dont Rut in the middle of the Road lol

Not really correct in this country...mule bucks will rut wherever a "hot " doe stands . Ive seen buck with their nose under a doe's tail on roads-in barn yards- on my front lawn between two houses that are 100 ft apart- on my back yard 15 ft from the kitchen window...bucks (both Mules & W/T )are like teenagers at a dance or a man with a hot neighbor next door, if the opportunity presents itself they are "all in" anywhere anytime.
