It's actually a 6mm-06 Ackley Improved which is really overkill but Epps had the reamer and the price was right on the work so that's the way I went.
I really haven't shot it a whole lot or developed any serious loads yet. It's supposed to be my antelope gun but I've had no luck in the draws and with the huge population loss over the last couple winters, it doesn't look like I'll be using it any time soon for that purpose.
Any way, I've been using 6mm Weatherby max loads as a starting point and only going up 2 grains from there. Loads are pretty mild but easily shoot 1" or less with nothing more than a bedding job done by myself. So far I've been using 100gr Hornady's but my hunting load will consist of 85gr TSX's. Maybe this summer I'll play with it some more and get a load worked up. Would be great on deer as well so it may see some use this fall.
