I finally got the registration cert for my M57, but on the make it says Tokarev (I got a tokarev on the same registration, which is all filled in properly). Do your reg cert's state Zastava or Tokarev as the Make? (I don't want to run into any issues down the road)

I've had all sorts of confusion when speaking with the CFP about restricted firearms they have registered. Sometimes the make / model isn't specifically correct but it's close. They're understanding about it, it's nothing to worry about.

I have a zastava m70 , which is the 9mm version , on reg cert is has zastava arms as the make.
My M70 cert says Zastava and my M57 says Tokarev. The M57 had to go back to the dealer as it looked like someone took a grinder to the slide so I had to call the cfo and transfer it back and I actually asked about why it didn't say zastava. The woman had no clue and I left it at that.

I am considering buying a Tokarev or a Zastava,,,,how do you guys like them?....was wanting to keep in the 9mm family so I don't have so many different calibres, but that 7.62x25 cartridge looks fun. I guess for the price how do you go wrong eh? Is it better to go with a new model Zastava or a post war Tok? Thanks in advance.

For the price, I would buy both. The 9mm Zastava M70 that I have functions flawlessly by the way. Best 269 I spent in a long time. Post war Toks are the price of the average Albertan's weekly Liquor budget, so everyone should have at least one.
